Charitable Giving

  • At Aleutian Airways, we are committed to giving back to the communities we serve and supporting nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations in their valuable endeavors. We believe in making a positive impact on the lives of others through charitable giving. We receive a large amount of donation requests, so to streamline our charitable efforts we have established this policy to guide nonprofit organizations in submitting proposals for donations, ticket requests, and other forms of support.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • 501(c)(3) Status: Only organizations with a valid 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), are eligible to apply for charitable support from Aleutian Airways.
    • Geographic Focus: Priority will be given to organizations and initiatives that directly benefit the communities and regions served by Aleutian Airways.

    Types of Support Available:

    • Donations: Aleutian Airways may provide monetary donations to support nonprofit organizations’ programs and initiatives. The amount and frequency of donations are subject to the discretion of Aleutian Airways.
    • In-Kind Donations: Aleutian Airways may provide in-kind donations, such as flight tickets or services, for charitable purposes.

    Application Process:

    Nonprofit organizations seeking support from Aleutian Airways must follow these steps:

    • Submit a Proposal: Organizations must submit a detailed proposal outlining their mission, goals, and the specific project or initiative for which they are seeking support. The proposal should also include information about the expected impact of the support and how it aligns with Aleutian Airways’ community engagement goals.
    • Proof of 501(c)(3) Status: Include documentation confirming the organization’s tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(3) entity.
    • Geographic Focus: Clearly articulate how the proposed project or initiative will benefit the communities served by Aleutian Airways.
    • Contact Information: Provide contact information for a designated representative who can respond to inquiries related to the proposal.

    Review Process:

    Aleutian Airways will review all proposals received on a case-by-case basis. Factors that may influence our decision include:

    • Alignment with Aleutian Airways’ values and community engagement goals.
    • The potential positive impact of the proposed project or initiative.
    • Geographic proximity to Aleutian Airways’ service areas.
    • Availability of resources and budget considerations.

    Submission Deadline:

    Proposals can be submitted at any time throughout the year. However, it is recommended to submit proposals at least 60 days before the anticipated start date of the project or initiative.

    Notification and Follow-up:

    Organizations will be notified of Aleutian Airways’ decision within a reasonable timeframe after the review process is completed. If approved, further coordination and details will be discussed between Aleutian Airways and the nonprofit organization. Aleutian Airways reserves the right to amend this policy as needed and to make exceptions in exceptional circumstances. Submission of a proposal does not guarantee support.
