[Anchorage, Alaska, November 1, 2022] — Aleutian Airways, operated by Sterling Airways, has relocated to its new home at Ted Stevens International Airport, and welcomed its second Saab 2000 into the fleet. This additional aircraft will support charter services and the airline’s initial route between Anchorage, Alaska, and Unalaska/Dutch Harbor. Aleutian’s new home is a 29,000+ square foot hangar with ample office space, located at 6751 S. Airpark Pl., Anchorage, Alaska, which will support the company’s long-term plans for expansion throughout the state.
“The decision to move our offices was a logical next step to support our growth plan,” said Wayne Heller, President and CEO. “Our previous facility served us well for the startup phase of Aleutian Airways but as we look towards the future, with a growing network, fleet and team, it was paramount to have a base of operation that will support the airline’s growth plan over the coming years; making our new home the ideal location.”
The airline’s inaugural flight departs Anchorage at 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, and arrives in Unalaska/Dutch Harbor at 9:45 a.m., marking the official start of scheduled service.
